Why do they still plant those white flowering jizz trees everywhere. its AWFUL. we had them in my neighborhood growing up too. do people not realize they stink?

There is one down my street and I have to giggle whenever it's fragrant. It's just a tad more bleachy, though. I think it's some kind of juniper bush. Could there be one than one kind of tree like that?

bradford pear by any chance? they don't actually have fruit on them. and they have spewey smell to them...

Hmmm, most people think linden trees smell quite nicely though? There IS a flowering tree that smells pretty awful, like skunk or something, but I'm not sure that's it....

dude, it is the bradford pear tree. the blossoms have been compared to "rotting fish"
so, maybe not semen, but dirty vag instead.
there are tons of those lining sidewalks in brentwood and franklin tn, and it was sick.
there were a few at the university where i went, and i think they're gone now.
they aren't very strong trees, so every time storm season blew through, many of them would get broken in half or torn over and would have to be replanted.
they're cheap, and they grow fast, but they're weak (of course) and they're pretty, so that makes them popular for decor- but good lord, some botanist needs to work on fixing that smell.

Seriously, Mitchell and Webb are probably somewhere in my 5 favorite sketch comedy groups of all time. Maybe top 3. (After Python and Mr. Show... but I can't think of anyone else I'd definitely rank ahead of them.)

I don't know if they air in the US -- they have three seasons on DVD, and I think there's a fourth now? Don't know if it's aired yet.
They also do a show called "Peep Show" -- a half-hour sitcom, which is different but also really good. I know the first five seasons (x 6 episodes) of that are on Hulu. Or were last month. I probably should get around to watching Season 5 before they pull it...

BBC America doesn't show the good NEW sketch comedy shows, it seems.
They make me really nostalgic for my childhood. NOT FOR THAT REASON.
They make me think of my white easter shoes getting all muddy, and sidewalk chalk, and how I made this boy Brandon kiss me in my Little Mermaid tent because I wanted to catch his chicken pox.
I just walked under a bunch of those trees and got.showered by their blossoms. It was floral bukkake.
