Biden Returns to Campaign Trail with Strong Protection of Obamacare

Joe Biden came back to the campaign trail on Wednesday with protection of the Affordable Care Act, deliberately drawing a contrast with other Democratic presidential hopefuls after spending weeks focused completely on Donald Trump.

In Waterloo, Iowa, the former vice president told at his first public appearance since last Thursday’s primary debate that “I basically disagree with anybody who says scrap Obamacare”. “I’m against any Democrat who wants to scrap it; I’m against any Republican who wants to scrap it”.

He further added that there are a lot of good people running. “I’m going to be very frank with you; it’s going to be argument amongst us all in this race”.

The opponents nearby to Biden in the polls- Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Kamala Harris of California and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders back Medicare for All, which would ultimately take account of the removal of private insurance that remains popular with a lot of voters.

Till now, Biden has not rolled out his full health care plan but suggested that would support a hybrid public-private system that can help the uninsured get treatment.

He pointed out the various presidents prior to Barack Obama had tried to pass a health care bill but didn’t do well. He said that we have to conclude the job and make health care a right not only a privilege.

The team of Biden was fast to note that on April 25 he entered the race, approximately a month into the quarter which means that he took in more per day as compared to any other candidate. His campaign increased $18 million throughout the second quarter. Warren and Harris have not yet disclosed their fundraising sum.

Biden plans to march in a July 4 parade in Independence, Iowa, on Thursday and to take in an Iowa Cubs game in the state capital, Des Moines.
